This helped me understand a little more of what refs are going to call fouls and what they're going to let slide, and it taught me the value of what is called a "patient whistle". Interesting rules perspective a good read for future coaches too... it will help understand what the referee is looking at and how he interprets it.
After reading this information I was able to officiate with more confidence in knowing what was a foul or not a foul. Learned to attack!! I read the rule books over and over but this book really cleared up the grey areas. This should be required reading for a new basketball official.
